Essie ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿฝ | 'As If' Fall 2017

9:00 AM

Hello beauties! Today I am coming at you with a pre-review of the Essie Fall 2017 collection spired by the 90s.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this throwback fall collection, but they are only being sold on Amazing, Essie's website, and Ulta -- Most are sold out on Amazon, all are sold out on Essie, and there are no Ulta stores in Manhattan ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ

However, I have placed my order on Amazon, and will be posting swatches soon, but wanted to talk about the colors here and which I will and will not be buying.

As If | We'll start with the name sake of this collection. Essie describes it as a powdery periwinkle blue with a hint of red. I am a sucker for these blues and almost always buy them even if they are only slightly different than the 20 others I already own.

Saved By the Bell | This light blue-based baby pink is not really my color. I think it look's super adorable but every time I try to rock cool-toned pinks they make my hands look a lil crazy. Essie describes this as light baby pink with a subtle blue undertone and I have to agree, but pass on this one.

Mixtaupe | This is the one nude/neutral in the collection and I just have tooooooo many colors that look like this to warrant me buy this. However, if you don't have many creamy nudes, this warm ivory with a dash of pink it might be worth picking up!

Knee-High Life | Alright, so to me this is the only real "fall" shade in this collection but it's also the one I am least excited about. I feel like Essie has so many shades close to this deep wine red with purple undertones, and I would have loved to see something with a little more of a dusty feel to this color.

Girly Grunge |  AM I PUMPED OR AM I PUMPED FOR THIS COLOR. 1, I'm a sucker for the name, Girly Grunge is just so up my alley. It's described as a soft silvery metallic with a light purple shine. This would easily fit into the Essie Mirror Metallics from 2012, some of my absolute favorite Essie polishes. This is the shade I am most excited for!

Dressed to the Nineties | This shade reminds me of a vampy or evil mermaid. This shade seems to be all the rage these days and this dark purple with a green-blue shimmer will be making it's way home to my collection.
