Kat Von D | Saint + Sinner Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

4:57 PM

Hello Lovelies! Today I have my swatches and review of the Kat Von D 'Saint & Sinner Palette'. This was one of my favorite products of the holiday releases because come on, how beautiful is this palette?! And that packaging?!

Look, I know we have all already seen this palette, but if you want to hear my thoughts, see my swatches, and see a look that I created with this, read on!

Sinner | The sinner side of this palette is what I was so excited for. I am drawn to bright colors and fun shade names, even though I work in a office where neutrals are the norm. I have to say I was a bit let down by these bright mattes...I wanted to love these, but the mattes were so powdery and blended away when I tried to use them. Devil and Martyr were alright for me, but all the others were duds -- sadly.

Saint | This side I was not excited for, but knew I would use anyways. I was so pleasantly surprised by this side, and found that all these shades worked pretty well on my eyes! Again, the mattes here were not amazing, but they did stay on the lid. I wear this to work all the time now, and it makes for a softer, subtler look.

Get the look | I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, and to an ombre peacock look! I started out with Exorcism in the crease. After building that up, I started with Relic in the inner corner and packed that on with my finger. I then went in with Exodus (probably the worst shade in the palette for me) and then went in with Ministry and ended by re-packing on Exorcism to darken up the outer corner.

It was soooooo hard to get these to keep their pigmentation, and that may be because I didn't use a base or primer, but man, I really had to use my fingers to get these to stick on - particularly Exodus and Exorcism.

What do you guys think of this look? Do you have this palette? Let me know what you think down below, and I would love to see the looks you guys have come up with using this palette!
