My Thoughts on the Lights Lacquer GRL PWR Collection
Hello lovelies! I have been waiting so so long to write this blog post and I can’t believe the day has finally come! Kathleen Lights has finally launched her polish line to replace KL Polish! And a little bird tells me there is a lot more in the works besides this first collection.
Lights Lacquer came out with their first launch, the GRL PWR Collection! This is such a gorgeous collection, filled with 6 brand new polishes (of course). There are 2 shimmers, 3 creams, and 1 glittery topper!
As with KL Polish in the past, I plan to pick up every collection and review the polishes for you here! I picked up all of these from lightslacquer.com for $9.50 each.

Swatches of the Lights Lacquer GRL PWR Collection
GRL PWR | I love love love GRL PWR, this firey golden glitter can work as a topper, or you can build it up on its own. I love how bright this is, and I will compare it to KL Polish Leo since it’s what GRL PWR immediately reminded me of. For this photo, I used 2 coats for full coverage.
11 | If you know me at all, you know I love a pretty ugly green! 11 is exactly that, a pretty ugly green, that is living somewhere between yellow and ochre. Again, the formula on all of these is perfect and buttery, so I got it fully opaque in 2 coats.
WOMAN | Woman is a very pretty deep cobalt blue cream. Unsurprisingly, Woman has a beautiful formula too and built up to full opacity in 2 coats.
HBIC | If there were ever a polish I that would perfectly embody me, it would be HBIC! I love dark and vampy nails, and this deep grey, maybe even black, with a flash of silver shimmer going through. Again, perfection is the name of this formula and I got it fully opaque in 2 coats.
Final Thoughts on the Lights Lacquer GRL PWR Collection
Wow, at first I thought that I couldn’t love anything more than some of the KL Polish collections of the past, but I am incredibly excited about what Kathleen has in store for us in the future!
All of these polishes have impeccable formula, so to pick my favorites, I am going solely on my color preferences. I am obsessed with 11, HBIC and GRL PWR!
Please if you have not already, you have got to try Kathleen’s polishes! They are truly some of the best of the best.
