Introducing Essie’s new Flying Solo Collection. Inspired by the euphoric anticipation felt on a solo travel adventure, these sunset-inspired nail polish shades bring to life the beautifully optimistic colors of the clouds seen from the window of an airplane. When you're flying solo, the sky’s the limit and there’s no looking back!

My Thoughts on the Essie Flying Solo Collection

Hello lovelies! Today I am bringing you a new Essie collection that really caught my eye -- the Essie Flying Solo Collection!

This collection is made up of 9 polishes inspired by traveling solo, something that I have done quite a bit myself!

this season, check in to check out! as you reach new heights, open your mind and window shade because putting yourself first is in plane view. while you travel one way for one, let your hair down and make your own rules because you're free to roam. you deserve to treat yourself so take this time to do some solo-searching… without reservations! don’t forget to check your baggage because this indulgent getaway will have you falling head over heels with the endless possibilities! you do blue and celebrate flying solo as you strut off the runway with sky-high confidence!

This is not Essie’s Spring Collection, but I think I will pick that collection up when I get it. As per usual, I picked these up from 8ty8Beauty for $6 each.

Now onto the swaches….

Swatches of the Essie Flying Solo Collection

REACH NEW HEIGHTS | Reach New Heights is a neutral-based peach nail polish with shimmering gold pearl. I got this one opaque in 2 coats.

CHECK YOUR BAGGAGE | Check Your Baggage is a creamy bright yellow nail polish with red undertones. I got this to full opacity in 3 coats.

CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT | Check In To Check Out is a mid-tone, milky coral nail polish that I got fully opaque in 2 coats.

FLYING SOLO | Flying Solo is the namesake of this collection, and it’s a mid-tone, creamy pink nail polish that was perfect in 2 coats.

FREE TO ROAM | Free To Roam is a light-white based pastel pink nail polish with blue undertones, but this one had a slightly tricky formula. That being said, I still got this fully opaque in 2-3 coats.

ONE WAY FOR ONE | One Way For One is a blue-based pink nail polish with gold frosted pearl that is just stunning. I got it to full opacity in 2 coats.

YOU DO BLUE | You Do Blue is a periwinkle blue nail polish with violet iridescence, it has a similar formula to One Way For One, but this one is a little more sheer. I needed 2-3 coats for full opacity.

WITHOUT RESERVATIONS | Without Reservations is a mid-tone plum nail polish with a refined shimmering pearl. I got it easily to full opacity in 2 coats.

IN PLANE VIEW | In Plane View is a deep, milky teal nail polish, and one that I didn’t expect to like in this collection -- but was pleasantly surprised! This was another that got fully opaque in 2 easy coats.

Final Thoughts on the Essie Flying Solo Collection

Ahh how stunning are all these polishes!? I am obsessed with this collection, and all the colors are so so cute for the spring. It’s always hard for me to pick my favorites, but this is particularly hard for me.

I love love love One Way For One and of course Check Your Baggage. Which are your favorites?
