Essie Spring 2021 Swatch & Review

10:00 AM

I am coming to you all a little early with this new Essie Spring 2021 release inspired by the desert!

My thoughts on the Essie Spring 2021 Collection

Hello and happy Monday friends! Today I am sharing my swatch and review of the Essie Spring 2021 launch! I have not been able to find a ton of information on this collection, and it is not yet up on the Essie site - BUT I have been seeing these polishes pop up around stores and online so I thought I would share my swatches even if I don't know all the full details yet.

it’s time to get oasis and spring break-away to your favorite desert spa! you can take the heat - so roam free feeling light as linen. if you’re a glowing mumu mama, retreat yourself poolside. you know the espadrille, the pool boy will return in a second to quench your thirst ... so keep your cacti on the prize!

I picked up this collection from Walmart.com but they are now available on Target.com and a couple other places as well.

This collection is made up of 3 creams and 3 shimmers, all of them really beautiful and not you typical spring collection in my eyes!

Now on to the swatches...

Swatches of the Essie Spring 2021 Collection

GET OASIS | Get Oasis is a fresh airy white pearl with a hint of warmth. This polish is extremely close to Essie's Sweet Souffle - an old fav of mine - but this one is a hint warmer and less pure white. I used 3 coats for full opacity.

CATCTI ON THE PRIZE | Cacti On The Prize is a muted neutral green with yellow undertones. This is a true khaki color - and I think it looks pretty terrible on me/my skin tone lol. I will end up using it for nail art, but that is probably it. It did have a great formula though, and I got it fully opaque in 2 easy coats

LIGHT AS LINEN | Light as Linen is a milky brown with refined red pearl. I love love love these kinds of neutral shades with a pop of fun, but I feel like I have to have some others that are similar to this one in my collection. I got this fully opaque in 2 coats

RETREAT YOURSELF | Retreat Yourself is a muted rose with refined tone on tone pearl. This is a classic spring shade and looks like it smells like bunch of flowers! It's the brightest in the collection, and really brings it all to life. I got this opaque in 2 easy coats

YOU KNOW THE ESPADRILLE | You Know The Espadrille is a mustard yellow with warm undertones - talk about the most perfect fall mustard shade!! I just absolutely love this yellow so much and I highly recommend it if you're in the market for a good mustard creme shade. I got this opaque in 2 coats.

INFINITY COOL |  Infinity Cool is a deep true navy blue cream. This one is not the most special color in the world, but it is a really wonderful navy blue! I got it easily opaque in 2 coats

Final thoughts on the Essie Spring 2021 Collection

Sp what do you think of this collection? I personally love that these are not the typical colors we usually see in Spring collections! Since I do swatch so much, I don't actually end up wearing polish seasonally most of the time (especially now that I am barely leaving the house) so I know that these will be in my rotation for a while to come!

My favorites are definitely You Know The Espadrille and Light As Linen. Let me know your favorites in the comments below!
