Bad Habit Aphrodite Palette Swatches & Review

I've seen the Bad Habit Beauty Palettes all over the beauty community, and I knew I had to try one out for myself. This Bad Habit Aphrodite Palette is supposed to be a dupe for the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette. You be the judge!

The Bad Habit Beauty Aphrodite Palette

I don't know yet how I feel about the brand Bad Habit, and their very clear game plan to copy and directly dupe all the hyped up palettes out there for a $10-$12 price tag. You can purchase Bad Habit Beauty products on www.shophush.com, (ps there is free shipping on the ShopHush app, no minimum). While I agree that people should be able to access good quality shadows for an affordable price, there is something so off-putting about the direct ripping off of shades and palette ideas.

I am one for a deal, but at least try to hide that you are taking the exact same shades and format!

This palette comes with 18 shades in different finishes from matte, to shimmer, to satin. The color family is warm pinks and neutrals -- and is basically the same format at the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette.

I have to admit, the quality of these shades is so good, better than I would expect for a $12 palette, and I suggest to anyone out there on a budget to give these a try. I had no trouble with any blending or colors being patchy, and I would definitely buy from this brand again for the quality these shadows. I just really hope they start to come out with their own unique palettes soon!

The Look

I put together one look using this palette, and I have to say it came out really nice. Is this a palette you need to have? The short answer is, if you have a couple of palettes already chances are you have these shades so, no you don't need it. I have a bunch of different palettes that have shades of these, and I could have recreated this with any number of them, but for what it is, it created a nice look and this did last me a night out to dinner and drinks afterwards.

I started this look by setting my eye with 'Coy' the light bone color in this palette, and then went right into my crease with 'Admire'. Following that, to deepen up the crease I went in with 'Jealousy' and just a touch of 'Seduction' just below the previous shades.

I deepened the outer corner with more of 'Seduction' on my brush, and then went on to the lid shade. I packed on 'Beauty' to the center, and then added 'Crush' to the inner third of my lid. And that was all!

Final thoughts on the Bad Habit Aphrodite Palette

These lasted me a good amount of time, with less creasing than I get with some of my higher end palettes, but I am still torn on the morality of this brand. I definitely want to play with the brighter colors in this palette just to see how those perform, but until next time I will give this palette a solid B (for being good quality but lacking any originallity).

Do you have any Bad Habit palettes? Let me know down in the comments!
